hey FE427tp - Ed is correct - the pin location on a 410 piston is indeed .100 lower to accomodate the longer stroke of a 428 crank. If you installed a 390 piston in a engine using a 428 crank, you will wind up pushing the piston up above the deck - Not good for overall performance. Using a .060 over 410 piston with a 428 crank should yield approx a 422 inch motor - While not a 428, no one will no the difference but him. Dyno Don
