I'm in Louisville Kentucky for the holidays and I decided to stop by the salvage yard to look for another 2 barrel carb for my 68 galaxies 390. They had plenty but wanted 50 dollars for one carbuerator. Does that seem like too much? they also wanted 100 dollars for an A/C compressor. Everything was non-refundable but had a 30 day guarantee or replacement.
On the way out I pointed to a huge blue V-8 sitting upside down on the ground. The driver said it was a 390. It's hard to believe how big those engines really are... |
