		| Back in the late 1980's after working the NHRA Winternationals at Pomona, I spent a few days in California after the race. The days were spent going thru the tech files at the NHRA headquarters. I ran across some literature Ford had sent NHRA concerning the 1968 428CJ Mustangs and Fairlanes. Going through the notes I made back then, I have been able to decipher that 341 Fairlanes with 428 CJ's were built up thru July 10, 1968. There was still about a month of production left that year. The production break down up to that date is as follows:
 Fairlane formal coupe = 8
 Fairlane 500 formal coupe = 5
 Fairlane 500 fastback = 8
 Torino formal coupe = 2
 Torino GT fastback = 290
 Torino GT convertible = 1
Torino GT Formal coupe = 27

The Atlanta plant built 197 cars, Lorain built 51, and Kansas City built 93.
