Here's how to find one the easiest way:
Get a really good education. Then go to work for a Fortune 500 company and try to work your way into management. That's a lot easier than searching the Junk Yards for a 427. I have spent a lot of time in Junk Yards over the past 25 - 30 years and finding a 410 or 428 is something that only happened a couple times. And when it did, the owner knew what it was and wouldn't sell for anything like the going rate. So just save your money for the day you find a good 427 for sale and then pounce before it gets away. They are really hard to find.
