Yes, the engine is in the car.

There must be some a way to remove it. the car has manual steering and no air.

I was wondering if you could remove the two bolts on the oil pump (just enough room to reach) and let the pump set in the bottom of the pan. would this crate enough room or will the pan still be hung up in the rear with the steering.
