You'll have to jack the body off of the frame at least 4". John loosened/removed all the body bolts on the left side. You have to access them through the trunk and the floor pan under the carpet of course. Loosen or remove all the items you've mentioned, i.e., throttle, trans., linkage, etc. Then use a long piece of wood like a 4X4 piece or similar against the rocker panel. Something to distribute the pressure from the jack.

It will take some patience and slight tweaking of the 3/8" line to get it over the frame where necessary but it'll go and then you can carefully bend it the way it needs to go.
