I disagree with Allen's answer in the post above. The 428 CJ balancer is "zero" balanced just like any other FE balancer. The standard CJ balancer (all years) is even the same part number as a 1968 390 GT or 390 2V for that matter. The aftermarket balancer should be neutral balance as well.
The flywheel or flex plate is "detroit balanced". The 428 Super CJ's have a different balancer spacer with a weight on it to effect additional "detroit balance" due to the very heavy "Le Mans" rods in those engines. The Super CJ also uses a slightly heavier balancer with a different part number but it is not offset balanced either.
