the 407J is the number that ford used to identify an engine by its components for replacement. the 407J is a 428 cobra jet or a 428PI for canadian production (i am not sure why those were different than domestic PI's?). the first number on the first line of your tag should be 428. just as an example there is a 427 tag on ebay right now, it is a 366J. hawkrod
