That's what I recently did with mine. I don't recall how much we cut out of the piston top, but you can do the math for yours. A picture is attached. It's not a great view but it will give you an idea. I may have one from my 35mm collection that is better that I can send if you need it.

BTW: My engine is a 428 CJ. The pistons are 0.020 over. We dropped the compression to 9.5:1. don't forget to change the exhaust valve seat and valve to a hardened material to deal with lead free gas.
