. . .FoMoCo's (and others') way of gently reminding the driver he was at the top of the "safe" speed limit. This was back when interstates were posted at 70-75 mph and the fuzz always gave you an extra 10 mph. I could drive from Baltimore to Indianapolis, about 630 miles, in under 9 hours even with gas and food stops.
