I'm certainly not in expert on this forum, but it sounds like you have a 428 passenger car block with CJ rods and pistons. It sounds like a steel 427 crank but I don't know how the stroke would work the a 427 crank and CJ rods. Check again to make sure it doesn't have the reinforced main webs. The bolts you encountered on the rods are probably 13/32" (19/32" nut) which were used on the 428cj rods.
