I'm building a FE stroker motor based upon a FT block and steel crank. I plan on offset grinding the crank and using 400M rods. I've seen conflicting reports as to what type of modifications are required to use the 400M rods in the FE/FT engine. Is any special machining required? Do the rods need to be "thinned" at the big end?
I would like to hear the details from someone that has built up an FE with 400M rods. |
