Well, if the 390/428 has heads with the up-and-down 8 bolt hole pattern, the manifolds will fit, if the heads have the diagonal 14 bolt pattern, they won't fit.

But it's not over yet, the log exhaust will not fit the Mustang chassis, that's why they went to the GT style manifolds with the diagonal pattern. I remember kevin saying he got them to fit, maybe he'll chime in and elaborate.
