well guys i pulled intake off and found every intake port to be blacken and sludgey with valves coated with oil deposits some hard and some mushy looks like valve job is in order and than i can check bore and stroke i read that te means truck engine and its a bored out 390 thats why i dont have screw on oil filter adaptor either.if this is true then comp. ratio is in range of 7/1. wrong or right? should intake ports match gasket size because edelbrock intake ports are alot smaller than gaket which matches head ports nicely?
