I think a '64 Galaxie Q code in rust free condition as you describe is well worth $8,500. It very likely has the new and truly improved for '64 T&C Toploader 4 speed. Some early '64s were still factory equipped with the problem plagued Borg Warner T-10. But even if this '64 you're looking at had a T-10 I wouldn't turn it down for what is currently a very good buy.
