This is just my opinion, but that is not the transmission you want to use in your application, asuming that it would fit.
First, I don't know if it will actually bolt up in your car since all you have are some codes that don't identify the application for that transmission.
Second, you have selected a transmission that hasn't been manufactured in well over 30 years (not including the Super T-10, which that trans is not) which means that unless it has been professionally refurbished, its status is very questionable. Even if it is somewhat fresh, it is an inferior transmission when compared to the strength of the toploader and it's longevity under hard use behind your big block is questionable at best.
Third, your '67 would have come with a toploader specific to a Mustang with an FE and I really doubt that the T-10 will fit in your car unless it was purchased aftermarket specifically for your combination (odds are more likely that you'll be struck by lightning than that trans will actually fit).
Finally, you have a conflict. What's it worth? A couple hundred if it has an OEM application that someone actually has a need for. If it doesn't fit your car, then it's only worth as much as a heavy weight door stop would be worth. It's hard to tell from your question as to whether you've purchased the trans yet or not. If not, then you have been given a second chance at life. |
