If you search the forum I am pretty there are many good things said about the Petronix setup.
When I had my 63 Galaxie in Denmark and gas was at $5-6 per gallon a Lumenition breaker-less system with a spark box brought the car from 12 to 15 mpg. It did so partly by making it easier to pinpoint other weaknesses with the carb tuning etc. My 69 Cougar here in the US has a very tired engine (to be rebuilt soon). It at least came partly back to life when I installed a MDS distributor and spark box. If you should go the MSD route - get the distributor that has the vacum advance - or risk overheating. |
