I'm sure people make kits, so I guess you could. The fella I used had this big book with his old Sun dyno with a page for just about every factory distributor model variation and application ever offered. Among other things, he confirmed the mechanical advance was bang on Ford's specs. I dunno if he tweaked anything, or it just measured right to start. I'm also sure there are better ignitions out there if you're racing and/or aren't on this twisted undercover pseudo stock thing I'm working on.
