At more than double the price of quality dinosaur oil you would not be able to justify the expense even if oil consumption were the same.
Then there is the theory that synthetic oil will "not suffer viscosity breakdown at temperatures where ordinary oils break down". By the time you are suffering "viscosity breakdown" the radiator has been out of water for a long time and the temperature guage is pegged. I am not a believer in the syn - oil hype. You should change any oil every year or 3000 miles in a collector type vehicle due to condensation contamination. Synthetic or not your oil will be in need of replacement and why not just throw $15 in the recycle tank in stead of $40.
