Ebay has really changed the market in automotive literature. I have a large 49 to 64 Ford /Mercury (6000+items) collection. It has brought the price of common items way down and driven the price of rare items up. What has supprised the literature collectors is the amount of literature that is still around. I took me 35 years and almost $100,000 to build my collection. Today It still would cost about the same but I could build it in about 6 years.
I use ebay to sell my extras, ( you always buy two or three of something and a few years later you sell the extras and recover your investment or buy something else) that way out of pocket is kept reasonable.
