Phil, Richard is correct in that you will need 406 pistons unfortunately they are made out of unobtainium and you will probably have to have some custom made.Ford 406 pistons haven't been serviced as off the shelf replacement pistons in probably 30 years by ford or the aftermarket.You may get lucky and find some on e-bay,but it may be easier to find a 428 crank use your Lemans rods and get some easily obtained forged 428 pistons.If your 27 crank is a forged steel one in good condition and not excessively undersize you should be able to sell it to cover the cost of the 28 crank and pistons.
