Heat shield repair By richard - 01/31/2004 11:59:34 PM; IP 144.137.145.167 Have a heat shield for my 68 390GT. Its in OK shape but has some pitting I'd like to patch. Not a welder, and don't know if there a bondo/epoxy/JB Weld type product that could handle the heat and be used to fill and grind smooth before painting. Or is puddling weldment and grinding the way to go? Any recommendations on how to fill the pits prior to paint?
