| McQ, Here are the specs @ .004 cam timing, lift intake = 584, exaust lift = 607. duration = 284 intake and 290 exaust. I am building my engine the same as the Hot Rod magazine article from Jan. 2003. They built a 390 using Edelbrock heads, this Crane Powermax cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, about 9.8 compression and they got 450 hp @ 5600 rpm on pump gas. My engine will be exactly the same except using a Holley Street Avenger 770 carb vs Hot Rod's Edelbrock 800, and I am using the Erson rocker set up vs Hot Rod's stock adjustable rockers. I am wondering if this engine will have enough vacuum for power brakes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |
