If the engine is pristine and you're double-damn sure of it, there will be a little metal tag, usually on the coil mount, that will list the engine displacement, configuration, and change level.

If the tag isn't there or there is some question about the engine's virginity you will only be left to guessing. You'll have to pull a head (or the oil pan) to measure the bore and stroke to know absolutely.
