Jack the engine up under the oil pan and put a nice big square block under the pan to spread the load. Once the engine is up, put wood spacers between the mounts to keep the engine blocked up.
You don't need to get the engine up very far to gain enough clearance to get the pan out so you also don't need to concern yourself with the trans mount.
Different car have different techniques and if you fill in that blank you can get better advice. |
