Oil Pan Hits main studs

I was going to install my old (stock) oil pan on my shortblock when I noticed that the rear main studs hit the oil pan rail. I'm just using the stock pan as a drip pan right now to catch any assembly lube while the engine is on the stand. My question: Is this a problem on aftermarket pans also (Milodon or Canton)? I see that Gessford sells special short studs. Is this the fix to this problem?
