PCV on 390 drivers side or passenger side?

I am having a brain fart here. Does the pcv valve go into the carb from the drivers side valve cover, or the passenger side cover? I have it in the passengers side right now and when I get heavy with the foot I can smell oil fumes, so I am thinking I have it backwards. I also have some oil mist on the outside of the valve cover.

 Check the PCV hose & valve-grommet for snug fit. [n/m] -- Mr F, 05/19/2004
