royce, if your lower hose is colapsing.... By hawkrod - 05/25/2004 11:05:07 AM; IP 205.188.116.196 it is not because of the spring. in theory, the spring is not there to keep it from colapsing. the spring is installed to keep the hose from colapsing on initial fill. if the hose is colapsing while running then you have another problem. since fluid can not be compressed and the same volume of fluid is being pushed in the top of the radiator as is being sucked out the bottom, the only way the lower hose can colapse is if you have a blockage or too much air in the system. a too small radiator will also have teh same effect. hawkrod
