They're fine heads for a 390. They were introduced in regular production sometime in late '64. They saw duty on 352/390s through '65. They're the "tall" intake port and they have a decent combustion chamber. They can easily handle CJ/Lo Riser intake/exhaust valves. C4AE-G: Good Heads!
One draw back to some is that these heads do not offer the boss that allows them to be drilled/tapped for unibody exhaust manifolds, i.e., GT(Not good exhaust manifolds) or CJ(Good for exhaust manifolds). |
