Still cant find any "tag" on trans but did find the following parts numbers on it in my '66 Galaxie w/390GT (was 352OEM)
Front/bellhousing aluminum RFC5AP-7976A
Middle cast iron C5AP7006A
Tailshaft aluminum C5AP7A040
As you can see, its a 3 piece bolt together with a 14 bolt pan. So is it a CruiseOMatic or an FMX? Can these trans names be used interchangeably? A local Mustang reto place says yes!
Want to get a TCI torque converter from Summit...says its for a 68-71 FMX 1.375 crank pilot 29-spline. Also, a shift kit. Will they fit this trans cause parts are non-returnable says Summit. Did FMX have the same crazy L,D123,D23 column shift like CruiseO?
Sorry for all the questions but the leak is driving my wife nuts...ruining her concrete driveway!
