It also has a ni-bral 13x13 prop, and a normal V-drive. The engine, when out of gear, will rev nicely, and it starts easily, if you are going moderately fast and then slam it in reverse (ski around the boat trick), it will sometimes die and have to be restarted.
I am hoping for a manifold or cylinder heads I can get, or get a recipe for mine. I am also curious if there is a pertronix kit or even a mallory ignition or something to be rid of the breaker points. Also, if anyone knows of a modern fuel-injection system-intake manifold combo, I am interested in that. Or maybe an expert can tell me what engine is the closest relative to this boat engine (which Ford car or truck) |
