427 Nodular Crank

So how do you tell the diff between a "427 Nodular Crank" and a 390 Nodular Crank? They're both cast cranks & both 3.78" in stroke right? Same-same. Unless it's the infamous "Cast-Steel" some companies scam onto customers. Seriously, and sorry, if it's really a cast 427 crank there is no benefit whatsoever over a standard 390 crank. And if you're looking for aluminum heads call Summit and order the Edelbrock RPM heads. Preferably bare so you can have the machine shop build them better than they come fully assembled from Edelbrock. Your call. Some companies offer "Stage 1 RPM heads, Stage 2 RPM heads" etc, but that's more $ to spend. All depends on your level of cashflow.

You will probably get better responses from others here who are far more knowledgable on this stuff than I though.
