In my experience, the 429 will fit between non big block Mustang shock towers but won't fit the big block Mustangs reinforced shock towers. I think you would have to do some pretty major butchering. Original big block mustangs are worth keeping intact. Building an FE is more expensive but worth it in the long run. In my opinion anyway.
