I have a Cpmp 282S with .581 lift with 1.76 rockers. The specs say .022 hot lash, I have been using .018 hot lash. As I understand .004 less is all you should go. Constantly adjusted? I do it once every 500 miles of so but thats just because I do. It's never off my .018 hot lash. Many folks go thousands of miles before adjusting. It also depends on if your screws are tight on the rockers. Setting lash is fairly easy. There are some varying methods. some will set the engine at one or two specic spots and adjust half of the rockers and then the other half. I'm never in need of doing it quickly so I do each valve individually, meaning I roll over the engine for each. I can hook you up with some typed out instructions but they are at work on that computer and you'll have to wait until Thursday.
