Holley makes a kickdown linkage extension that bolts on to the end of the kickdown rod at the
carb end. It is about 1" to 1.5" long and should
take care of your problem. I put one on my 66 Galaxie many years ago when I put a 3310 on my 390. It also had a cruise-o-matic.
