Here are the results....

The fastest Fords present at the Pure Stock Shoot Out on Sept 08 & 09 are as follows starting with the fastest.
1.1969 428 Cougar
2.1970 428 Mustang
3.1970 429 Torino
4.1971 429 Torino
5.1971 429 Torino
6.1966 390 Fairlane
7.1971 351 Torino

Out of 110 cars, only 7 Ford/Mercury products showed up - can anybody tell me why so many Ford/Mercury owners don't want to actually race their old muscle cars ? I mean if any old muscle car can take an occasional run down the strip with out breaking, it would be the old reliable Fords.
