Thanks so much for the reply. I visited the ClubCobra page and BB. I signed up and posted a message.
My models will either be resin cast or fiberglass bodies, and have a lot of machined, resin cast, and photoetched parts. They will have a lot of detail.
As far as prices are concerned:
The price depends on the market. If I could get firm commitments for 100, I could afford to go into limited production. This would reduce the price needed to make a profit. If I could get small deposits, from say, 100 buyers,I could buy the materials, I could make probably sell them for under $1,000, in kit form.
Built up models would be priced according to how much the buyer wanted done. My current rate is $100.00 an hour, and I would probably put in at least 100 hours to custom built one, so a completed model could run $10,000.00 or more.
If there is limited interest, I will only build a few, for myself and friends.
