Alot is from first hand observations combined with the many Parts Identifier books and Ford MPC information. The books can be purchased from Autokrafters or any other Ford parts vender.
I have no notes on a C5AE-A cast block, but from what I have read, I would guess that it is probably a 390 block. Do yourself a favor and measure the bore, and get the casting/stamping from the crankshaft. What are the head and intake casting numbers, along with the carb or other engine tag numbers?
