...actually know anything about engines (it is clear that Stanley, the Troll does not) that the 385 series oiling system, esentially the same as the 335 series oiling system, is a poor design. It, like the 335, uses the right side lifter galley as a main line to provide oiling to the 2, 3, 4 and 5 main bearing journals. This results in a lack of volume and pressure at the mains, especially the rear main.
The 460 oiling system is inferior to any FE, and all proffesional 460 engine builders will agree. The whole world knows this, except for the Troll Stanley. |
