RE: 70 mach 1 rear shocks By Jim K - 01/09/2001 8:21:03 AM; IP 12.7.1.132 The shock that is staggered is in front of the axle housing. This means the upper mount of the shock in the chassis/body has a different mounting hole. Inside the car, behind the rear seat is a rectangle box where the access hole to this shock is. I'm not sure if this is in all Mustangs or only the staggered shock ones, I only know its in mine which is a 70 4-speed SCJ.
