No doubt on the pertronix and the coil is a good idea as well. Check if you have the balast resistor or resistor wire (info included with instructions)
Exhaust leak: I bought a felpro gasket and it leaked real bad, I replaced it with one for headers and it was a complete misfit. I had to cut the holes to get it to line up properly. Check the gasket for proper alinement. make sure the port has material covering at EVERY edge! Cut the bolt holes if you need to. I used UltraCopper and it's working so far, retorque after a few days.
