it's not really significant, it just exists. And when it exists i consider it significant.
BUT...
Mr.F: do you know what I'm talking about? Have you seen the cut baffle? Would it hurt to locate or fabricate a baffle that doesn't have the cut in it so as to totally elliminate the leak? OR is it cut for a good reason (airflow, lube?) and I have to live with it?

sorry to bother you with such seemingly paltry concerns when I know other q's prove much more interesting, but an answer would be greatly appreciated.

ps and T1M, have you taken a look at yours yet, does it seem to be cut?
