need advice on 428 valve train noise!

Dear gentlemen I have a 68 428 that is making a little tappig sound (lifter/push rod/rocker arm) I am used to adjustable rocker arms. I'm not sure on what I need to do. it makes good power,but am afraid I might be doing damage by running it.It has a set of hooker headers,performer intake with a 750 holley on top.
I'm a poor shade tree mech.I've heard talk about a longer push rod??
I'm prety sure noise is comming from above #4 piston.If you could drop me a line me and my mach1 would be vey happy!!
