paul yes I used weaker spring it was fun I had an asortment .I bought the kit from holley. I started strong to weakest. I felt like i had a new engine. My car worked best with the second to weakest. at 20 mph when I stompped on it the wheel would light up( 60 s) Me and my brother in law couldn't beleive the power I was missing with too strong of spring. Oh dont advance timming too much or youl here valve train nose(bad news) but this also gave it more pep even 9 it would run beter. I was told you can run into danger by too much advance. I'm no pro though. I like this site people are glad to help each other. I kick chevy 350 s ass regularly. Does the edlebrock have a spring kit for your carb? if so buy it ! I bought accle 8mm wires and super coil but sad to say I didnt notice much differance,if any!If you know some tips tell me. I used to run a hot 289 but there is no comparison in torque.do you like your carb ? the 3.73 rear end makes burning tires effortless. tell me more about your ride,I dont know any one else around that is running an fe have a good one!! |
