Nope. Not all 428s.
Some have "428" cast in oddball locations inside the water jacket, some seem to have no markings at all.
A more reliable check is to look for a large "A" (std 428) or large "C" (reinforced 428) cast into the rear of the block (hidden by the flywheel). This was the easily identified symbol which machinists used to identify the block in the Dearborn Engine Plant. A former FE machinisd mentioned to me they did not have time to look in the water jackets for the marking.
