The trans you have a is a Cruis-o-matic. The C6 was introduced in 1966, as Mike said. The C6 uses an aluminum case with an integral bell housing. The Cruis-o is a very old trans, dating from the early 1950's. The last version of the Cruis-o was the FMX. It is heavy, due to it's cast iron case, and not very efficient. There are not a lot of parts for it, and very little in the way of performance parts. You should not use this trans behind a 410, as you will surely chew it up. Look for an FE C6 to build up. |
