My 67 GT500 will get if I sit in traffic forany legthof time. So I proceeded to do a number of things that when combined made a big difference.
1. Finned Aluminum tranny pan
2. High Flow water Pump
3. 185 degree thermostat
4. Flushed the motor several times
5. Fan Shroud
6. Finned aluminum heat sink around oil filter
7. Electric fan in front of radiator (biggest difference)
I use a independent switch to turn it on when I see the temp rise.
