429 scj idle problems....

I'm having trouble making my engine idle while in gear at a traffic light. It lopes from 650 to 750 and I have to put it in neutral sometimes to keep it from stalling out on me. I could increase the idle to 1000 to keep it running, but that's not the right way to do it as far as I'm concerned. I have no vacuum leaks, what else can I look at to smooth it out? As always, thanks for the help in advance, you all are very helpful....
