Split-fires?

Those things still around?
A friend bought some of those from J. C. Whitney (that's your first clue, right there!) back in the early-70s and swore by them . . ."gas milage went up . . . better acceleration . . . no desposits . . .faster starting . . .etc. etc.." and bragged that they lasted for "years." Uh-huh.
Several years later he admitted it was all b.s. and that he hadn't noticed any improvement at all but he said all those things because he didn't want to admit he'd been snookered by the ads. His ego got in the way.
Back then they were like $3.50 a plug and Champions etc. were around 75 cents or so. I'm glad I saved my money.
