Shouldn't have anything to do with the size of the engine.
And 352 is common on all FE engines. That stems from the 352 being the 1st FE. About the only way I know of for it to be "#'s matching" is with the casting #, and the date code. Look for the date code on the lip below the oil filter adapter, just above the oil pan rail, at the front of the block.
look for the casting # on the passenger side, towards the front, right where the skirt ends, and the block angle's outward. Should be C7ME-A or something to that effect, maybe even a C6ME-A. Some blocks don't have the -A also. |
